Incorporating Prayer and Meditation
Prayer
- Kneeling in a quiet, distraction free environment take the time to speak out loud to the Creator about how you are feeling today, and why?
- You may want to write down in your journal any thoughts or feelings you want to remember from your prayer today.
Meditation
- Sit comfortably.
- Set the timer for 5 minutes
- With your eyes closed, focus on one item in the room where you are, and take in a deep breath.
- Repeat this step with a 2nd item and take a breath, and then a 3 items with a deep breath.
- Repeat focus and breath on item 1, 2, and 3 2 more times; making a total of 3 items, for 3 times total.
This practice is known to calm the mind by bringing your attention to one thing at a time. It may be a helpful break during your day to bring your attention to your breath and presence in moment.
